Dr Bryce Lawrence

B.DSc (University of Queensland)

I graduated from the University of Queensland in 1986. I have worked in the Queensland Public Dental System and in England for the National Health System to then return and establish Central Brunswick Dental Centre in 1997. I have been here ever since (over 20 years!) and when you visit, you’ll see why. Who wouldn’t enjoy working in a place with great staff, great music, art on the walls and great coffee nearby?

My patients, I am very fortunate to say, generally stay with me for years – affordable, preventative dentistry is a key focus for us at the surgery. I also have strong relationships with chosen specialists such as orthodontists, endodontists and periodontists, to ensure that our patients are always in the best of hands.

When I’m not busy at work, you can usually find me hanging out with my wife and three kids, keeping fit or playing guitar in my band, The Chordites.

Dr Eden McHugh

Dr Eden McHugh completed a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science from Griffith University in 2012 then continued on to a post graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry. Among other jobs before becoming a dentist Dr Eden was a mental health and disability support worker for a number of years so he is acutely aware of how of a dental visit and dental treatment can be quite daunting for most people. He genuinely cares about making your dental experience as comfortable as possible and will support you without judgement to achieve your goals and find long term solutions that fit your unique situation.

Dr Eden performs all aspects of general dentistry but has a particular interest in oral surgery and implants as well as crown and bridgework. As all dental treatments come with a biological cost Dr Eden does believe in minimal intervention and preventative dentistry as well being proactive in the right circumstances to ensure the best long-term outcomes and give his patients the best possible chance to avoid broken or lost teeth.

Dr Eden regularly invests in continued education to both expand his scope of practice and further hone and master his craft. His interest in dental extractions and oral surgery lead him to then progress into the area of implant dentistry where he completed his foundational training through the Dental Implant Academy in Melbourne.

Then in 2019, to address his patients cosmetic concerns more comprehensively he completed his advanced training in the use of Botulinum Toxin Type A and dermal fillers.

From 2020-2021 he completed the Master Implant Program through the Brener Implant Institute in Sydney to expand his knowledge and skills in more advanced dental implant and grafting procedures.

Dr Eden started his career in the heart of Brisbane city in a busy private practice on Queen Street, since then he has worked exclusively in private practice honing his skills but his career path has taken him from clinics throughout the greater Brisbane area, for a time working on the Gold Coast and also as far North as Yeppoon. He has actually found his way back to the heart of Brisbane CBD and can be found at Bite Dental Studio but also currently works days at Toowoomba Specialist Dental and works one day a week at a Brisbane Dental Studio in Clayfield.

In addition to this Dr Eden has now started to offer surgical appointments at other surgeries in the Brisbane area to manage complex surgical extractions including impacted wisdom tooth removal and the placement of dental implants.

Outside of work Eden loves board sports especially snowboarding which most of his vacation time ends up getting spent, he also enjoys cooking, live music and stand up comedy.
